Manage Employer Subscriptions

Track and manage employer payments and subscriptions.

Keep track of which employers have paid and manage their subscriptions.

View subscriptions

  1. Go to Subscriptions in the sidebar
  2. You'll see a list of all employer subscriptions

Note: This feature is available when employer subscriptions are enabled for your board.

Subscription information

For each subscription, you can see:

  • Employer name: The company or person who subscribed
  • Plan: Which pricing plan they purchased
  • Status: Active, cancelled, or expired
  • Start date: When the subscription began
  • Jobs posted: How many jobs they've used

Search subscriptions

To find a specific subscription:

  1. Use the search box at the top
  2. Search by employer name or email
  3. Results filter automatically

Subscription statuses

Active

The employer's subscription is current and they can post jobs.

Cancelled

The employer cancelled but may have access until the period ends.

Expired

The subscription period ended and the employer no longer has posting access.

Past due

Payment failed but the subscription hasn't been cancelled yet.

Managing subscriptions

Most subscription management happens through Stripe:

  1. Click on a subscription to view details
  2. Click View in Stripe to access the Stripe dashboard
  3. In Stripe, you can:
    • Issue refunds
    • Cancel subscriptions
    • Update payment methods
    • View payment history

Handling refunds

To issue a refund:

  1. Find the subscription
  2. Click View in Stripe
  3. In Stripe dashboard, find the payment
  4. Click Refund
  5. Enter refund amount and reason
  6. Confirm the refund

Common scenarios

Employer wants to upgrade

  1. They can purchase a new, higher tier plan
  2. Or contact you to manually upgrade in Stripe

Employer wants to cancel

  1. They can cancel from their account
  2. Or you can cancel it in Stripe
  3. Access continues until the paid period ends

Payment failed

Stripe automatically retries failed payments. If payment continues to fail:

Subscription reports

To understand your revenue:

  1. Access your Stripe dashboard
  2. Go to Reports > Revenue
  3. View:
    • Monthly recurring revenue
    • New subscriptions
    • Churn rate
    • Revenue by plan

Tips for managing subscriptions

  1. Monitor churn: Watch for patterns in cancellations
  2. Follow up: Reach out to employers who cancel
  3. Track growth: Compare month-over-month subscription growth
  4. Offer incentives: Consider discounts for annual commitments
  5. Automate: Let Stripe handle payment retries and reminders
