By Abi Tyas Tunggal and Jack WalshWhat are team roles?
Team roles define what each member can access and change on your job board. Assigning the right role ensures people have the permissions they need without exposing sensitive settings like billing or team management.
Cavuno offers two roles: Owner and Member.
Available roles
Owner
Full access to everything:
- All board settings
- Billing and payments
- Team management
- Integrations
- Delete the board
The account creator is automatically the Primary Owner and cannot be removed.
Member
Standard team access:
- View and manage jobs
- View and manage companies
- View content
Cannot access billing, settings, or team management.
Change a member's role
- Go to Team members in the sidebar
- Find the team member
- Click on their current role
- Select a new role
- Changes apply immediately
Transfer ownership
To make someone else the primary owner:
- Go to Team members in the sidebar
- Find the member
- Click the three-dot menu (...)
- Select Transfer Ownership
- Confirm the transfer
You'll become a regular owner after the transfer.

Best practices

- Use appropriate roles: Don't give more access than needed
- Regular review: Check team access periodically
- Remove promptly: Remove access when someone leaves
