How to Add Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
Set up privacy policy, terms of service, and cookie policy for your job board.
Protect your job board and build trust with visitors by adding essential legal pages.
Why legal pages matter
Legal pages are important because they:
- Build trust with job seekers and employers
- Comply with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)
- Protect you from liability
- Are required by many payment processors and ad networks
Access legal settings
- Go to Board settings in the sidebar, then click the Legal tab
- You'll find fields for each legal page
Each legal page has two fields:
- Title: The heading displayed on the page
- Body: The full content of the policy
Privacy Policy
Explains how you collect, use, and protect visitor data.
What to include:
- What data you collect (emails, usage data, cookies)
- How you use the data
- Who you share data with (analytics, payment processors)
- How users can request data deletion
- Contact information for privacy questions
To add your privacy policy:
- Enter a title (e.g., "Privacy Policy")
- Enter your policy content in the body field
- Click Save
The policy will be accessible at /privacy-policy on your board.
Terms of Service
Defines the rules for using your job board.
What to include:
- Who can use the board
- Acceptable use guidelines
- Job posting rules for employers
- Intellectual property rights
- Limitation of liability
- Dispute resolution process
To add your terms:
- Enter a title (e.g., "Terms of Service")
- Enter your terms in the body field
- Click Save
The terms will be accessible at /terms-of-service on your board.
Cookie Policy
Explains how your board uses cookies and tracking.
What to include:
- Types of cookies used (essential, analytics, advertising)
- Purpose of each cookie type
- How to control cookie preferences
- Third-party cookies (Google Analytics, ad networks)
To add your cookie policy:
- Enter a title (e.g., "Cookie Policy")
- Enter your policy in the body field
- Click Save
The policy will be accessible at /cookie-policy on your board.
