How to Create Job Posting Pricing Plans

Set up job posting prices and create different pricing tiers for employers.

Define how much employers pay to post jobs on your board.

Before you begin

Make sure you've connected Stripe first.

Access pricing settings

  1. Go to Board settings in the sidebar, then click the Monetization tab
  2. Scroll to the Pricing Plans section
  3. You'll see your existing plans or an option to create new ones

Create a pricing plan

  1. Click Add Plan
  2. Enter plan details:
    • Name: What employers see (e.g., "Basic Job Post")
    • Price: Amount to charge
    • Currency: USD, EUR, GBP, etc.
    • Description: What's included
  3. Click Save

Pricing plan options

Single job post

Charge a flat fee per job posting.

Example:

  • Basic Post: $99
  • Featured Post: $199 (with extra visibility)

Job bundles

Offer discounts for multiple posts.

Example:

  • 1 Job: $99
  • 5 Jobs: $399 (save $96)
  • 10 Jobs: $699 (save $291)

Subscription plans

Charge monthly for unlimited or bulk posting.

Example:

  • Starter: $199/month (5 jobs)
  • Professional: $499/month (20 jobs)
  • Unlimited: $999/month (unlimited jobs)

Setting competitive prices

Research your market to set the right prices:

Factors to consider

  • Your niche: Tech jobs command higher prices than general jobs
  • Traffic volume: More job seekers = more value for employers
  • Competition: What do similar boards charge?
  • Your audience quality: Specialized audiences are worth more

Typical price ranges

  • General job boards: $50-150 per post
  • Niche/specialized boards: $100-400 per post
  • Premium tech boards: $200-500+ per post

Managing plans

Edit a plan

  1. Find the plan you want to change
  2. Click Edit
  3. Make your changes
  4. Click Save

Note: Changing a price doesn't affect existing subscriptions.

Best practices

  1. Start simple: Begin with 1-2 plans, add more as you learn
  2. Offer value tiers: Give employers options at different price points
  3. Test pricing: Don't be afraid to adjust prices based on demand
  4. Communicate value: Explain what employers get with each plan
  5. Consider free trials: Let employers post one free job to experience your board
