How to Add Google Analytics to Your Job Board

Set up Google Analytics and other tracking tools on your job board.

Track detailed traffic and user behavior on your job board with Google Analytics and other analytics tools.

Available integrations

Cavuno supports these analytics services:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Detailed traffic and behavior analytics
  • Google Tag Manager (GTM): Centralized tag management
  • Meta Pixel: Facebook and Instagram advertising tracking
  • LinkedIn Partner ID: LinkedIn advertising tracking

Access analytics settings

  1. Go to Board settings in the sidebar, then click the Analytics tab
  2. Enter your tracking IDs for each service you want to use
  3. Click Save changes

Google Analytics 4

What GA4 tracks

  • Visitor demographics (location, device, browser)
  • Traffic sources (search, social, direct, referral)
  • Page views and time on site
  • User behavior flow
  • Conversion tracking

Get your Measurement ID

  1. Go to analytics.google.com
  2. Click Admin (gear icon)
  3. Under your property, click Data Streams
  4. Click your web stream (or create one)
  5. Copy the Measurement ID (starts with "G-")

Add to Cavuno

  1. Go to Board settings > Analytics tab
  2. Find the GA4 Measurement ID field
  3. Paste your Measurement ID
  4. Click Save changes

Verify tracking

  1. Visit your job board
  2. In Google Analytics, go to Reports > Realtime
  3. You should see your visit appear

Google Tag Manager

If you prefer managing all tracking through GTM:

  1. Create a GTM container at tagmanager.google.com
  2. Copy your Container ID (starts with "GTM-")
  3. Go to Board settings > Analytics tab in Cavuno
  4. Paste the Container ID in the GTM Container ID field
  5. Click Save changes

Meta Pixel

Track visitors for Facebook and Instagram advertising:

  1. Get your Pixel ID from Meta Business Suite
  2. Go to Board settings > Analytics tab in Cavuno

    Track conversions for LinkedIn advertising:

    1. Get your Partner ID from LinkedIn Campaign Manager
    2. Go to Board settings > Analytics tab in Cavuno
    3. Paste your Partner ID in the LinkedIn Partner ID field
    4. Click Save changes

    Cookie consent

    To comply with privacy regulations like GDPR:

    1. Go to Board settings > Analytics tab
    2. Enable Require cookie consent
    3. Click Save changes

    When enabled, visitors see a cookie consent banner. Analytics tracking only starts after they consent.

    Tips for using analytics

    1. Check weekly: Review trends regularly
    2. Set up goals: Track important actions like applications
    3. Compare periods: Look at week-over-week changes
    4. Segment traffic: Analyze different sources separately
    5. Use multiple tools: Combine GA4 with ad platform pixels for full visibility
