RSS Feeds

Syndicate jobs to social media, email newsletters, and external websites using your board's automatic RSS feed.

Your board automatically generates an RSS feed containing your most recent published jobs. RSS is the standard format for content syndication, which means you can use it to automate social media posting, send email digests, and display your listings on external websites without any manual work.

The feed updates in real time as you publish jobs, so any automation built on top of it always has your latest listings.

Prerequisites

Publish at least one current job and know the public domain or Cavuno subdomain for the board. For third-party automation, use a provider that currently supports RSS input and authenticate the destination account separately.

Your RSS feed URL

Replace yourboard.com with your custom domain or Cavuno subdomain. Cavuno adds an RSS autodiscovery tag to your HTML <head>, so feed readers find your feed automatically.

What's in the feed

The feed includes up to 50 of the most recent published jobs in RSS 2.0 format. Each entry contains the job title (formatted as "Title at Company Name"), a direct link to the listing, the publication date, a description with company, location, employment type, and the full job description, plus assigned categories.

Post jobs to social media

Automate new job announcements using an RSS-capable social tool. Provider features change, so confirm that your chosen service currently supports RSS triggers and your destination platform:

  1. Connect your RSS feed URL to Zapier, IFTTT, or Make
  2. Create a trigger that fires when a new item appears in the feed
  3. Map the job title, company, and link to a post template
  4. Set the destination to your social account

Jobs post automatically as you publish them. This is one of the easiest ways to build an active social presence without creating content manually. For more on social media distribution strategy, see Marketing your launch.

Send email digests

Use an email tool that currently supports RSS-driven campaigns to send automatic job digests to your mailing list:

  1. Create an RSS-driven campaign in your email tool
  2. Enter your feed URL as the source
  3. Set the frequency (daily, weekly, etc.)
  4. Design the email template

Choose a cadence that matches what subscribers were promised and how often useful jobs arrive. Compare delivery, clicks, and unsubscribes before changing it; no cadence guarantees the best open rate for every audience.

Embed jobs on a website

For a styled, filterable embed you can paste directly into any website, use the jobs widget. For RSS-based embedding (useful on platforms that support RSS widgets natively), add an RSS plugin to your CMS, point it to your feed URL, and configure the display settings.

Blog feed

If your blog is enabled, a separate RSS feed is available at:

https://yourboard.com/blog/rss.xml

This feed contains your published blog posts with title, summary, author, and publication date. Use it to syndicate your editorial content alongside your job listings.

Verify a feed

Open the feed URL directly and confirm it returns RSS XML. Find a recently published item and check its title, public URL, date, and description. Unpublished, scheduled, expired, archived, and draft items should not appear. Then trigger one connected automation manually before relying on its schedule.

Troubleshoot a missing item

If a job does not appear, confirm it is Active and among the 50 most recent published jobs. If the XML is current but an external automation is stale, refresh or retest the provider's RSS trigger; Cavuno cannot control a provider's polling interval.
