Generate a copy-paste jobs widget with board branding, search, and advanced filters for any external website.
A
JShow live job vacancies from your board on any external website. Use the jobs widget on your main company site, newsletter landing page, community portal, or partner pages. Jobs stay in sync without manual updates.
Before you begin
Publish at least one job and make sure you can edit the external website where the widget will live. Use a staging page when possible so you can test the embed without exposing an empty or broken block to visitors.
Find the widget generator
Go to Jobs in your dashboard and click Embed jobs.
What the widget shows
- Board branding: your logo and board name in the header, linking to the board home in a new tab
- Live listings: published jobs matching any generator filters you set before embedding
- Search and filters in the embed: keyword, location, and advanced filters (see below)
Search and filters
The embed is a launcher into your board, not a full in-frame search app. Visitors can stage filters in the widget, then click Search to open the board's jobs page in a new tab with those filters applied — so paywall, alerts, SEO, and the full results experience stay on your board.
Generator filters
Before you generate the code, you can pre-filter which jobs appear in the listing strip:
- Keyword: narrow the widget to roles like product, design, or engineering
- Location: show only jobs for a selected location
- Employment type: limit results to full-time, contract, internship, and more
- Work arrangement: show remote, hybrid, or on-site roles only
Use filters for a focused audience, like a location page or niche community.
Visitor filters in the embed
Once embedded, visitors can:
- Enter keyword and location in the header search
- Open advanced filters for seniority, employment type, and work arrangement
Advanced facets follow your job form settings. Fields you hid or collapsed on the form do not appear in the embed. If no advanced facets apply, the filter control stays off.
Generate the embed code
- Open the widget generator
- Set the filters you want
- Click Preview to verify the output
- Click Generate code
- Copy either the iframe snippet or the script snippet
Both snippets render the same jobs widget.
Verify the embed
Paste the chosen snippet into a staging page on the external site and load it as a signed-out visitor. Confirm the widget shows your board name and only published jobs matching the generator filters. Open a job and confirm it loads in a new tab. Enter a keyword or location in the widget, select Search, and confirm the new board tab carries those filters into the full jobs page. If advanced filters are hidden, compare them with the fields enabled under Settings → Job form.
Example
For example, a Toronto design community could generate a widget filtered to Location: Toronto and Keyword: Design, then place it below an introduction for local members. Keep the external page's heading specific so visitors understand why that subset appears.
Troubleshoot the widget
If the widget does not appear, confirm the full snippet was pasted into a block that permits embeds or scripts. If it appears but contains no jobs, remove the generator filters one at a time and confirm matching jobs are published. If search opens the wrong domain or advanced filters are missing, verify the board's primary domain and compare the available facets with Job form settings.
Choose your embed option
Iframe snippet
Use the iframe snippet for most websites. It's the fastest option for CMS platforms, page builders, or no-code sites.
Script snippet
Use the script snippet when you want to place the widget inside a specific mount element on a page you control.
How the widget works
- The widget stays in sync with your published jobs
- Job links open in a new tab
- Search launches the full board pre-filtered in a new tab
- The bottom call-to-action sends visitors to the full board when there are more matching jobs
- The widget can include a powered by Cavuno link depending on your Settings and plan
Best practices
Match the page intent
Use broad filters on homepage or careers pages. Use narrower filters on community, content, or location-specific pages.
Place the widget near a CTA
Place the widget near a heading, intro paragraph, or newsletter signup so visitors understand why those roles are relevant.
Preview before publishing
Always check the preview after changing filters to ensure you don't embed an empty or overly narrow result set.
Widget vs RSS feed
Use the jobs widget for a polished embedded jobs block with branding, search, and filters.
Use the RSS feed for automations, email digests, or external tools that only accept RSS input.
