Company Directory

The public companies page and individual employer profiles: what job seekers see, how market pages work, and why company enrichment matters.

The company directory is the public companies page on your board at /companies. It lists your published companies with their logos, names, and open-role counts, and it is the discovery surface job seekers use to research employers before applying. It is part of the job-seeker experience, which is why it lives here rather than in the operator-side company management docs.

What job seekers see

The directory lists each published company with its logo, name, summary, and a link to its profile. Visitors can search by company name and browse with market filters.

Each company has a profile page at /companies/{company} showing the full description, website and social links, office locations, and every open role at that employer. A profile also shows similar companies, helping visitors discover other employers hiring in your niche.

Market pages

When companies have market tags, your board generates a market page at /companies/markets/{market} for each market. These group companies by industry and add more indexable landing pages. All market pages are included in your sitemap automatically.

Why enrichment matters here

Because AI company enrichment fills in logos, descriptions, and links automatically, every company in your directory has a complete profile even if you never touched it. On a board with hundreds of backfilled companies, this is the difference between a polished directory and a wall of blank entries. The directory is also a strong SEO asset: each company and market page is a unique, indexable URL that captures branded "[Company] jobs" searches. See programmatic SEO for how these pages compound.

Availability

  • Plan: All paid plans. The directory is part of your public board, which is live from the Starter plan upward.
  • Setting: None to switch the directory on. The "Companies" link is a navigation item you can reorder or hide in your navigation and footer settings.
  • Setup required: None. Companies are created automatically as jobs are added, and enrichment fills in their profiles.

Limitations

  • Only published companies appear. Unpublished companies are hidden from the directory.
  • Market pages depend on companies having market tags assigned. Companies without a market are still listed in the main directory but will not appear on a market page.
