Work with tasks and versions

Keep design experiments organized, inspect saved versions, and restore an earlier direction.

Tasks keep conversations and draft changes together. Versions capture saved progress within that work. Use another task to explore a different direction, or return to an earlier version when you prefer a previous result.

Before you begin

Open the task whose changes you want to review. Finish or stop active work before restoring or archiving it. Check whether you are viewing the latest draft or an older version.

Review and restore a version

  1. Open Versions from the version control in the builder.
  2. Choose a saved version and inspect its preview.
  3. Select Back to latest to leave history without changing your draft, or Revert to this version to bring the older work back.
  4. Confirm Bring it back. The restored work becomes a new version; existing history remains available.
  5. Review the result before continuing or publishing.

Viewing an older version does not publish it. To build from that point, revert to it or choose Remix to continue it in another chat.

Organize work

Use Search tasks to find another task or start a New task. Rename tasks by their purpose, such as “Employer landing page” or “Mobile search layout.” Use Remix when you want another direction based on existing work.

For example, keep an association-branded homepage in one task and explore a more editorial layout in a remix. Review the alternatives before deciding which one to publish.

Archive work you no longer need in the active list. Archived tasks remain available through Show archived and can be restored to the active list. Archiving a task does not remove the public site.

Changes made in another task

If the live board has changed since a task began, the builder can show Update from live. Use it before continuing toward a release, then review the result. If the update needs attention, resolve that state before publishing; do not assume an older draft includes another task's published changes.

Check the result

After a revert, confirm that a new version appears and the expected design is back in the preview. After switching tasks, check the task title and page before sending another prompt. Review the public URL separately if you also publish.

Troubleshooting

If an older version has no saved preview, use another version that can be inspected or return to the latest draft. If controls are read-only, leave history or unarchive the task. If a stopped build contains partial work, inspect it and explain what should be completed in the next message.

Next steps

Share a draft for feedback or publish the reviewed version.
