Every niche has a question visitors ask before they read a job. Does the employer sponsor visas? Is the role identified for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants? Which security clearance does it need? Your custom fields already store the answer. Now visitors can filter by it.
On boards built from the latest AI website builder starter, every public dropdown, multi-select and yes-or-no custom field is added to the All filters sheet automatically. You do not need to ask the builder or write any code.
Filter jobs by company fields too
Some answers describe the employer, not the role, such as "Community controlled" or "B Corp". Add those as a company field, set them once per company, and visitors can filter jobs by them. When a company's answer changes, its jobs move to the matching results within seconds.
- Job fields appear as filters on the jobs page
- Company fields appear on the companies page and the jobs page
- Talent fields appear on the talent page
- Badges: ask the builder to show field values as small badges on job cards, or to put a filter in the main search bar
Private fields are never offered as filters.
Read Fit your board to its niche with custom fields to set it up. Developers building their own frontend can follow the custom field filters and badges recipe.
Other improvements
- Instagram on company profiles: companies can add an Instagram link alongside X, LinkedIn and Facebook. See Edit a company profile
- Worldwide location search in the SDK:
board.locations.searchfinds any country, region or city for location inputs such as a job form's office locations, not only places your jobs already use. See the locations reference - Clearer salary places: salary place results include a
placeLabel, so a city reads apart from the region it shares a name with. See Salaries - Deactivate and reactivate employers: the Operator API can now block an employer's sign-in and later restore it, keeping their company memberships and jobs. See the API reference
- Backfill sources: sources still in preview are listed last in the Backfill available tab, and their tooltip says their jobs may need checking for accuracy
