Employers who pay for a one-time job posting by card at Checkout now get a paid invoice, not only a receipt. It is on by default.

  • One email from Stripe: after payment, Stripe emails the buyer links to the invoice PDF and the receipt PDF
  • What's on the invoice: your business name, address and VAT ID from your connected Stripe account's settings, and the buyer's company name, address and VAT ID entered at Checkout. Checkout asks for the buyer's details when Stripe Tax is active, and a qualifying cross-border EU business sale shows a reverse-charge note
  • Stripe's fee: Stripe charges your connected account 0.4% per invoice, up to $2
  • Turn on Successful payments emails: Stripe only sends the email when Successful payments customer emails are on in your Stripe settings
  • Turn it off: open Settings → Products → ... → Buyer fields and switch off Email a paid invoice after Checkout, for example if you issue invoices from your own accounting software

Subscriptions are unchanged, because Stripe already invoices every subscription payment.

The Public job submission (customer) email has a new {{invoice_link}} token. When the order has a paid invoice, it shows a View invoice and receipt link to Stripe's invoice page. Otherwise it shows nothing. The default email includes it. If you customized this email, add the token in the email editor.

On the Transactions page, the view action for these card orders now opens the same invoice page.

See Buyer fields for details.
