Tuning the built-in fields was step one. Now you can add fields of your own. The new Custom fields section on the Job form settings page lets you capture the details that matter to your niche, beyond the standard title, salary, and location.
Define a field in seconds
Head to Settings → Job form → Custom fields and click Add field. Pick one of six types, each mapped to the right input:
- Short text and long text for free-form answers like a security clearance or a team summary
- Dropdown (single choice) and checkboxes (multiple choice) for a fixed set of options you define
- Yes / No toggle for simple flags like "Includes housing"
- Number for things like years of experience, with optional minimum and maximum
Mark any field required, reorder the list by dragging, and rename a label any time without losing already-submitted answers.
Captured everywhere, shown where it counts
- Every posting surface: custom fields appear on your dashboard form, the public submission form, and the employer post and edit forms, validated the same way across all of them
- On the public job page: answers render in an Additional details section, below the description, so candidates see exactly what you collected
- Translatable: the section heading and the Yes/No wording are editable and translatable per board in the Website builder, alongside your other labels
Built to stay tidy
- Deleting a field can keep submitted answers (so re-creating it re-links them) or clear them
- Tightening a newly-required field never breaks live jobs; it applies on the next edit
- Custom fields are display-only for now: no impact on search filters or structured data
Open Settings → Job form and scroll to Custom fields to make the form yours.
