Company groups and feed routing

Put companies under a parent, so every part of an organization keeps its own profile and jobs. Routing rules then send each backfill job to the right subsidiary, by application link, title, description or location.

Big employers hire under many names. An airline has a regional carrier, a health service has state sections and a mining group runs its own airline. Until now each one sat on your board as a separate company, and a backfill feed put every job on whichever company owned the website. Now you can group them and decide where each job goes.

Group companies under a parent

Open a company and click Add subsidiary, or choose Make subsidiary from a company's menu in the companies list.

  • Own profile: each subsidiary keeps its name, logo, page and jobs
  • One group, one list: the companies list shows each parent with its subsidiaries nested under it
  • Shared website: a subsidiary can use its parent's website, so a careers page such as example.com/careers/regional stays with the right company

Give the parent the organization's main website. When a subsidiary shares it, the parent takes over its backfill link, so every job from that employer reaches the parent first.

Route backfill jobs to the right subsidiary

Add a rule to a subsidiary and the parent's backfill jobs that match it go there instead.

  • Match conditions: application link, job title or job description, each with contains any or contains all
  • Job filters: limit a rule to countries, or to regions within a country
  • Rule order: the first matching rule wins, and a job that matches none stays on the parent
  • Live preview: while you build a rule, the matching jobs show up as you type
  • Move all matching jobs: tick it when you save to move the parent's current matching jobs too

A job you moved by hand stays where you put it, and rules never move it back.
