Operators told us the same thing twice: they blocked a company, saw its profile still on the board, deleted it, and watched backfill add it back within a day. Delete removed the record the blocklist matched against, so the block went with it.
Block company now asks which outcome you want. Remove from the board is the default: the company's jobs and profile come off your board, and the company stays blocked so backfill, imports, API writes, employer sign-ups, and public submissions cannot bring it back. Keep the profile, stop sourcing is the previous behaviour: live jobs are archived, automated sourcing is rejected, and the profile stays.
Deleting a company that is already blocked now keeps it blocked and removes it from the board. Unblock first if you want it gone from the blocklist too.
Blocked companies that you kept the profile for get a Remove from board action on the row menu. The API and CLI accept remove on block.
See Company blocklist.
